SHAHR-E KORD -- The director general of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari's Industries and Mines Organization, Mahmoud Farhadi, announced here on Saturday that some 1.36 million tons of various types of mineral stones were exported by the province in the previous Iranian year (ended March 20).

"The figure indicates a 17 percent increase compared to that of the preceding year," he added.

Referring to the organization's issuance of 24 licenses as well as six patents, he said that the 44 mines in the province created 528 job opportunities in the sector last year, a 7.8 percent increase compared to the figure of the year before.
